Delete your BolichApp account and data

BolichApp is an app by Mario Carrillo (CarMaDev). This page explains how to delete your account and data, what is deleted and what is kept.

From the app (recommended)

1. Open BolichApp.
2. Go to Settings → Your data.
3. Tap Delete all my data.
4. Confirm with Delete everything.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you want to keep your games, export a backup from the same screen first.

You need a connection to delete your account. Offline, the app offers to delete only what is on the phone; your account and cloud copy are kept until you repeat the process online or ask us by email.

Signing out is not the same as deleting: signing out deletes the data on the phone, but your account and cloud copy are kept so you can sign back in.

What is deleted

• On your phone: your profile and aliases, balls, centers, sessions, games and rolls, kept scoreboard photos, and the app’s temporary backup files.
• On our server: your account (identifier, email, name and Google profile picture), the whole synced copy of your data, and any photo quota setting linked to it.
• At Google: BolichApp’s access to your Google account is revoked.

What is kept

• Photo usage log, without an identifier. For each photo read we keep the date, outcome, model, tokens, estimated cost, image size and error code, but it is detached from your account when the account is deleted, so it can no longer be linked to anyone. It never contained images, names or aliases. We use it for cost accounting and the service’s daily limit. We keep it for up to 24 months.
• Server backups: your data may remain for up to 7 days in the database’s automatic backups, if any, until they roll over.
• Server technical logs (no images or names), which are deleted automatically within 7 days.
• Error reports the app sent to Sentry: they don’t contain your bowling data, your name or your account, so they can’t be located for deletion; Sentry deletes them automatically within 90 days.
• Backups you exported and shared (for example, on WhatsApp or Google Drive): these are out of our reach; delete them from that service.

We never store scoreboard photos on the server, so there are no photos to delete there.

If you no longer have the app

Email us from the Google account address you used with BolichApp at carma.dev.app@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my BolichApp account”. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and delete your account and data within 20 business days; we will let you know when it’s done. If you write from another address, we may ask for information to verify the account is yours.

If you used the app without an account, your data was only on your phone and we hold nothing of yours on the server: Android deletes it when you uninstall the app.

You can also remove BolichApp’s access from your Google account’s security settings; that does not delete your data on our server.
